PhD in Anthropology and Sociolinguistics, as a vocation.

I am currently working on the research project ADLET (Analysis of linguistic distance in spatial and temporal axes: phonological and morphological aspects of Catalan), directed by Professor Esteva Clua Julve, at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Until December 2013, postdoctoral researcher at the Institut Universitari de Lingüística Aplicada of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and PI of the National Project “La previsión del futuro de las comunidades bilingües en contextos multilingües: el caso catalán aquende y allende nuestras fronteras” (The forecast of the future of bilingual communities in multilingual contexts: the case of Catalan inside and outside our borders), FFI2010-16066/FILO. This project suggests the creation of a methodological protocol to explore the relationship between language attitudes, identity and social networks, and the importance of each aspect in the use of the Catalan language in contact with other international and globalized languages, Spanish in the Peninsula and English in New York.

My topics of interest are related to language contact, multilingualism, and language management and planning as well as demolinguistics.
